AnyLogic 8.4: expert opinion

In the end of February AnyLogic company released a new version of their flagship product – AnyLogic 8.4. New release includes changes in:
- Material Handling Library
- User interface and working with models
- Model resource management
- Process Modeling Library
- AnyLogic Cloud
Such obstacles as walls, equipment installations and other transport were not considered in a case of transporter movement in previous releases. Transporters did not notice them and we had to solve the problem by writing a code. That increased development time and reduced model flexibility. Now we have the system that take into account all obstacles.
Another challenge for soft developers was overstating number of elements of transport networks in logic Main-block. We had to spend a lot of effort on detailing paths, optimizing transport network and create nested blocks. All mentioned procedures increased also development time.
AnyLogic 8.4. has solved all these problems and reduced risks of spending time on transport movement logic optimization and adaptation. This is certainly convenient and important for all users.
